Uncertain (sonnet)

Shadows in the night that I cannot name,
Visions of a past that may not be mine,
Uncertain of the rules to play this game,
Uncertain of the puzzle that I find,
So aware of so much information,
I'm drowning in the sea of all that is.
Sometimes awash in my own frustration,
Convinced there is something I might have missed.
Unsure of what is true and what is myth,
But longing to believe that love is real.
Ashamed to ponder questions such as this,
Amazed by all that I can think and feel.
Awakened by a call I do not know,
Unsure of what to do and where to go.
