Wait and See (sonnet)

There has been no victory won today.

There is only sadness deep in my soul.

I just wish that there were another way

To get through to that pig-headed asshole.

I told him many times not to call me,

Court orders never seem to deter him.

Oh, how on earth can I get him to see

That his "love" for me is only a whim.

One day he hates me, the next he's in love.

One day he despises, the next adores.

And all the stars in the sky up above

Cannot explain why he does what he does.

I'm left speechless by his lack of control.

Now to wait and see what the next week holds.
